We’re excited to announce that five Minnesota residents are among the first class of the DaySavers Higher Potential Scholarship Award Winners, a first-of-its-kind initiative to help forge the next generation of cannabis industry leadership.
Among the Minnesota winners is Top Award recipient Tiffany Miller-Schroden of St. Cloud.
Consisting of more than 200 prizes totaling more than $25,000, the Higher Potential Scholarship provides opportunities for current and future members of the industry, all donated by 25 different brands, businesses and organizations inside the cannabis space.
Miller-Schroden has received a package of prizes including a mentorship with Erin Kirk, Esq. from the Connecticut Office of the Cannabis Ombudsman, free seats in Green CulturED certificate programs, a package from Ganjactivist that includes a media package featuring coverage and promotion as well as event access and experiences with The Legacy Project and tickets to CannaCon Midwest in St. Paul.
Miller-Schroden is a senior at Lake Superior State University, majoring in cannabis chemistry. As a teenager, she saw how medical cannabis helped friends and family members, setting her on the path to study the plant and its various uses and effects. She hopes to use her degree to help the industry improve their production methods.
“One of my personal goals in getting this degree is to help relieve the stigma surrounding cannabis and highlight the medicinal values it has on individual lives,” she wrote in her application essay.
